Selling Your Home in Birdland: What You Get

Selling your home in Birdland comes down to one comparison. Buyers will stand in your living room and think about the updated home they saw down the street. Most homes here were built in the 1960s and 1970s, and many have been remodeled since. Yours needs to hold its own.

With Cornerstone Real Estate Team, it will. Most homes are listed. Ours are launched. You get a price built from real sales and model-home prep that we manage. Then a launch puts your home in front of buyers before they ever open a listing site.

"So how would you sell my home?" Here's the answer, step by step.

Why Birdland Sellers Choose Cornerstone

We've sold homes across the Tri-Valley for more than 20 years, with nearly 2,000 transactions and more than $1.5 billion in team sales. Jameel and Ramez still do the work themselves. We're recognized by REAL Broker as Elite Agents, and we wrote a book about selling a home in the Tri-Valley.

The prep is what makes the difference on an older home. Fresh paint, clean landscaping and professional staging change how a 1960s or 1970s layout feels to a buyer. Cornerstone covers that prep in most cases. We agree on the terms before any work begins, and if you take the home off the market, the prep costs are paid back to us.

Jameel personally speaks with every buyer's agent before they show your home. That call answers questions early and keeps serious buyers moving.

We also teach as we go. You'll understand why your home is priced where it is, what each step of the launch does and what each offer really means. You'll know what's happening and why, every step of the way.

Our Home Selling Process in Birdland: What to Expect

  1. Price it together. We walk through recent Birdland sales with you, one by one. One story or two, updates and condition all show up in the numbers.
  2. Prepare it like a model home. Professional cleaning, paint, landscaping and professional staging. Cornerstone covers the prep in most cases, with terms agreed before work starts. See how we prepare a home like a model.
  3. Coming soon. Advertising and social media start while the prep is underway, and about 200 neighbors get a coming-soon postcard.
  4. Launch. Professional photos, property video, drone and a 3D tour. Then come Meta ads that easily reach more than 100,000 people in a month or less. The video goes on YouTube. We promote the home on TikTok, Facebook groups, Nextdoor and Pinterest.
  5. Talk to every buyer's agent. The listing goes to fellow Realtors, and Jameel personally speaks with every buyer's agent before they show the home. Neighbors get a for-sale postcard with a QR code, and when one scans it, we follow up personally.
  6. Offers and escrow. We walk you through every offer, then manage escrow and the title company through closing.

Local Context & Proof for Birdland

Older homes can sell very well when they're presented right. A 1960s or 1970s home with fresh paint, cleaned-up landscaping and professional staging often looks brighter and larger to buyers than it did the day before. We plan the prep around your home, not a checklist. Then we time the coming-soon period so neighbors and buyers start talking about your home before photos go live. By launch day, the goal is a home that people already want to see.

Your Birdland home has plenty to sell. It's detached, on a bird-named street in the Pleasanton Valley area, near Pleasanton Sports Park. The city adds 46 parks, 80 miles of trails, a downtown with more than 550 businesses and a Saturday farmers market. Buyers want to hear all of that, and our marketing tells them.

The postcards matter here. About 200 of your neighbors get a coming-soon card and then a for-sale card. People who already know Birdland often know someone who wants in.

Julie Dawson has sold two homes with us: "This is the second home we have sold using Jameel and Ramez. Once again, we were very impressed by their professionalism and the ease in the transaction."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you sell an older Birdland home?

We prepare it like a model home, then launch it. Most Birdland homes date from the 1960s and 1970s. Professional cleaning, paint, landscaping and staging make a big difference in how buyers see them. Cornerstone covers that prep in most cases, with the terms agreed before work begins.

How do you price a Birdland home?

We walk you through recent sales of similar homes, one at a time. Layout, updates and condition matter a lot here, so we compare homes that truly match yours. By the end, you'll be able to explain your own price, which helps you judge every offer that comes in.

Can you lower your commission?

Every term in a listing agreement is set by agreement between you and us. We'll talk through what our fee covers, including the prep we usually pay for up front, the paid advertising and the launch. Then you can weigh the full plan rather than a single number.
